Comodule brings connectivity to Zero Motorcycles’ new LS3

Zero Motorcycles just launched its new LS3 model, and we’re happy to announce that it’s connected by Comodule. LS3 riders will get access to smart features through the Zero Motorcycles App.

This marks Comodule’s first major step into electric motorcycles and mopeds. We’re bringing the technology we built and proved across e-bikes and scooters to a segment that is only starting to go digital.

Electric motorcycles and mopeds catch up on connectivity

Connectivity is now standard on e-bikes, and more than 75 percent of new cars sold in 2024 had embedded connectivity. On motorcycles and mopeds, it’s still mostly an exception. More innovative moto brands, such as Zero, are adopting IoT technology to improve the user experience.

“Electric motorcycle brands are dealing with the same questions our e-bike partners answered years ago: how to protect the vehicle, understand how it’s used, and stay connected to the rider long after the sale?” said Teet Praks, CEO and founder of Comodule. “Zero Motorcycles has defined electric motorcycling for more than a decade. Working with them on the LS3 lets us bring smart vehicles to far more people.”

Lowering the barrier to connected vehicles

Comodule delivers vehicle manufacturers a complete connectivity stack, so they can bring connected models to market without developing IoT in-house:

  • IoT modules that integrate with the vehicle, built for motorcycle-grade power and durability

  • Cloud platform and API for real-time vehicle data, remote diagnostics, and over-the-air updates

  • A rider app
