Holly joins Comodule’s sales team

We’re glad to welcome Holly Williamson-Taylor as the newest member of Comodule’s sales team. Originally from the UK, but living in Germany for the last 13 years, Holly is a passionate bike industry professional with a strong interest in growing the e-mobility industry. “I believe IoT is the next big for the e-bike industry and it will redefine the cycling experience, eventually getting more people on bikes”, says Holly.

UK e-bike market has the potential to grow

In her new role as a Sales and Commercial Manager at Comodule, Holly will focus on bringing IoT solutions to UK and European bike brands. “We see UK as a market that is very open to new ideas and there’s big potential to merge innovation with the heritage of the UK bicycle brands to offer products that differentiate in the market. The UK e-bike market share of 9% is three times lower than European counterparts (27%), with mature markets like the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Austria sitting around 50%. We firmly believe that one way to bring UK’s e-bike market up to speed is to provide improved riding experiences and tackle the bike-theft issue with the help of connectivity solutions. In London alone, around 50,000 bikes are stolen annually, most of which are never recovered. It’s no wonder people are hesitant to buy an expensive e-bike if they don’t feel it’s protected enough,” says Holly.

Extensive cycling industry experience

Holly has been in the bicycle industry for 13 years working with customers around the world. Holly was a long-time member of the Hayes Performance Systems Europe team, a component supplier of (among other brands) Hayes brakes, Reynolds carbon wheels, and Manitou suspension to bicycle manufacturers. Holly has also worked for a Bavarian bike brand, Corratec, as the export manager. Her skills and understanding of the industry span from the customer riding their bike through to complex supply chain and business value topics.

An active adventurer and an everyday cyclist

Holly and her husband bike or walk the daily school commute with their 2 kids (after growing up with North England weather, no weather is bad enough).

As a cyclist, mountain runner, and ski mountaineer, Holly’s philosophy is to live life for adventures through sports and share this passion with others. Holly is always pushing to find a new ‘sustainable adventure’ whether this is a mountain bike transalp crossing from the door of her house, or dragging (literally) her kids uphill on skis when it snows.
