About Voltaire
In late 2018, Voltaire was born when Gabriel Ecalle, an entrepreneur, and Grégoire Lieurade, a product manager at Porsche decided to create the electric bicycle they had always dreamed of. The elegant design and practical riding experience make it a great companion for the everyday commute.
Protected against theft with smart features
Voltaire bikes are compatible* with Comodule’s connectivity solution, enabling smart security features such as:
GPS tracking,
a digital lock,
movement alerts
Riders can access the features from the Voltaire Plus app, staying connected to their bike at all times. In addition to the security features, the Voltaire Plus app displays navigation and ride info.
*Connectivity is an add-on service, not included as a default in Voltaire bikes.
Connectivity helped to retrieve a stolen Voltaire bike
On a summer evening in Paris, Pierre, owner of a connected Voltaire e-bike, parked the bike on the street for the night, secured with a ring lock. By morning, the bike was gone, but luckily Comodule’s IoT device showed its exact location in real-time - and the chase was on! Eventually, Pierre got his Voltaire bike back thanks to technology and his determination.
