How to successfully operate a rental fleet?

To run a successful and sustainable rental fleet in a competitive market, you need to ace several categories.

The cornerstone is to have a service with a high value proposition to users so they would make the decision to use your service to move from A to B. For this, you need to be able to provide reasonable pricing, great availability, and outstanding user experience.

In order to provide that value, you need to be efficient in operations, have best-in-class software and hardware stack, and in every step keep the customer and their experience in mind.

Tuul’s connectivity system

Comodule empowers Tuul with seamless connectivity for their scooter fleet that linked to Tuul’s own back-end. The IoT module integrated into each scooter establishes a robust connection to both GPS and the internet. Notably, it incorporates an automatic alarm system that significantly deters scooter theft, rendering stolen vehicles unusable.

In collaboration with Tuul's operational software, they maintain real-time oversight of scooter locations and technical statuses, even when they are low on battery. The intelligent software embedded within the scooter's core and battery undergoes continuous enhancement, driven by valuable feedback from Tuul's customers.

Constantly evolving

Comodule's ongoing software refinements substantially elevate the user experience, optimizing vehicle performance and extending battery life. This inherent intelligence empowers the scooter to excel in various challenging weather conditions, such as extreme cold or heat waves. The advanced IoT hardware module from Comodule enables Tuul to make over-the-air updates to the scooters, eliminating the need for physical intervention.

Jaan Kekišev, CEO of Tuul

Jaan Kekišev, CEO of Tuul:

Connectivity is mission-critical for providing a free-floating scooter rental service. With fast and frictionless connectivity and accurate positioning, you can get the needed edge over the competition from a UX point of view and efficient on-the-street operations. It is crucial that the service is reliable and always running because the costs of system downtime are tremendous. We are very happy with the quality and peace of mind that Comodule brings us. Together we are able to improve customer experience and Comodule is 24/7 ready to solve any issues that might come up.
